Navigator DFE can import a properly generated CGAT file third-party software programs like the Ideaalliance Curve tool.
This is useful if you prefer to use external tools for grey balancing or calibration. The imported curves are applied as a tone curve, meaning they are added to any calibration curve that may already be present.
Important Note:
The CGAT file must contain data for the control points that the Navigator DFE expects. Specifically, there must be data for:
0%, 2%, 4%, 6%, 8%, 10%, 15%, 20%, 30%, 40%, 50%, 60%, 70%, 80%, 85%, 90%, 95% and 100% dots in cyan, magenta, yellow and black channels.
In order to import a tone curve::
- Navigate to the Color Profiles tab.
- Click choose file. Browse for a valid CGATs file. Select Import.
- Choose the calibration file from the "Additional Tone Curve" drop-down list.
- Click the checkmark icon to save your settings.
