SCSI Driver Missing is a common error when Xitron uses SCSI PCI cards using the XISCSI driver to access the card and communicate with the SCSI device. Windows creates a Generic SCSI printer when is seems the SCSI device on the bus, which intercepts communications intended for the SCSI PCI card and blocks out the XiSCSI driver that Xitron requires.

The Windows Generic SCSI printer presents itself in the device manager, as shown in the image below.

The way to resolve this issue is to disable the Generic SCSI Printer, done by right-clicking on the printer and selecting disable. Please do not delete it because Windows will create this printer again during the next boot sequence. The XiSCSI driver can now access the SCSI PCI card and communicate with the engine.
