Note: it is critical to follow the steps in this document, otherwise will the printer almost flood the page when printing.
This document goes over how get the Calibrations (SetGold Calibrations) to function properly in the Navigator HP DFE versions 721A and 222B,
- Close Navigator Server completely
- Open the file RenderConfigs.json in Notepad++
(C:\Navigator\Navigator\Config\RenderConfig)
- Browse to the line CalName: in each renderconfig listing
- Remove the name of the Calibration, but leave quotation marks (“”)
Example: Should initially read CalName: “Plain Paper 300”
Should look like this when finished CalName: “”
- Save and close the RendConfig.json
- Browse to the Calibrations.json and move it to the desktop
(C:\Navigator\Navigator\Config\RenderConfig\Calibration)
- Start Navigator Server
- Open the Navigator Configuration Editor in a Web Browse.
- Go to the Calibrations window and select the Plain Paper 300 calibration from the Paper Profile menu
- Click “Print New Target”. You do not need to actually print it on the HP, but you can if you like.
- Now Select Plain Paper 600 from the Paper Profile menu.
- Click “Print New Target”
- Go to the Render Configs tab
- Select the Plain Paper 300 Render Config
- From the Calibration menu select Plain Paper 300
- Click the checkmark to save the setting change
- Select the Plain Paper 600 Render Config
- From the Calibration menu select Plain Paper 600
- Click the checkmark to save the setting change
- You should now be able to print using the correct profiles and calibration
