We have developed a way for your SmartFlexo to output files with the Resolution Unit populated, as required by the Amsky TIFF Downloader. I’ll explain:
- I will provide you with two files that will have to be added to your system. AmskyTIFF.bat will be added to C:\Navigator\Navigator\Config\Scripts and tiffset.exe will be added to C:\Navigator\Navigator\Utilities. You can download these files here: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/8aj6ta3jn9p3781ogwozy/AMSKY.zip?rlkey=7mw6dn43mdossx65ivxex6lgt&st=jxabgfos&dl=1
- You will have to modify any workflow that requires direct output to the Amsky TIFF Downloader (instead of ganging multiple jobs in Plate Controller). For those workflows, you will add an export action right after the SmartFlexo action, as illustrated in SmartFlexo Export.jpg. This export action will tell the system to move the SF TIFFs to another workflow I’ve named Amsky. (See Amsky Direct attached.)
- Thy Amsky workflow consists of a hotfolder with scripting enabled. The chosen script (AmskyTIFF.bat) adds the Resolution unit number to each of the TIFF files as they come in.
- Added to the Amsky workflow after the hotfolder is an export action that delivers the TIFFs wherever you want them to go. I’ve set mine up to go to a folder called, “Amsky TIFF Catcher” as shown in Amsky Export.jpg.
Configuring the system this way will deliver TIFFs that the Amsky TIFF Downloader will read properly.
