New Features:

The big new features in this release are the imposition template editors for Mac and Windows and the archiver.  Plenty of upgrades here.  Ask for a demo if you want to see...


Job Submission/Archiver Web App

-    If a Component has an existing job, sending the Component to the same workflow as the existing job will apply the settings from the existing job to the new job

-    Project Archiver now available in Job Submission application.

-    PDF Pages can be viewed via the view button or by double click

-    Internal hard-coded strings are now localized

-    CustomInterface.json now has a version number to make it easier to know when it has been updated


Component Pages Table has several improvements including:

-    Column separator lines

-    Degree symbol on rotation value

-    New Reading Page Number Column

-    Number of Pages in Table indicator

-    Double Click to View Page

-    View Component Page Button

-    Replace page by dragging a new PDF page onto existing page

-    Project Archive Feature


Bug Fixes

-    Clicking the notes button rapidly when editing a project no longer breaks the view 


 

Mac and Windows Production Clients

-    Ability to impose multiple PDFs from a single job in a workflow. New selector in the imposition editor

allows the user to choose PDF output as Job, Side, Signature, or Web.

-    RIP output and export workflows actions placed after the imposition action now support multiple PDFs generated from the imposition action.

-    Custom control of imposed PDF naming for Side, Signature or Web PDF output.

-    CIP3 file name can now include signature and side for easy identification.

-    The export action now has a renaming tool that allows files to be custom named when exported from a

workflow.

-    Improved remote imposition editor, allowing users to create or edit imposition templates, marks, and marks profile right from K2’s mac or PC clients.  One template editor for each licensed client application.

Known Issues:

-    Avoid using forward slash / or back slash \ in the imposition template name saved in Impostrip.

  • Changes: 
    • First release. (As this is the first release version, the release notes don't have change history.  It's mostly a list of component versions.)
  • Supported languages.
    • Full language support comes in v1.1.  There is some testing underway.  So far we have it working in the test lab in the following languages:
      • German
      • French
      • Spanish
