Imager discharges whole roll of film on shutdown
Reports from end users that a new installation of an ECRM USB interface exhibits a problem on shutdown. If the imager is shut down first, there are no problems. However, if the RIP PC is shut down and the imager is still on, the imager will advance and discharge the remaining film in the supply cassette.
The problem is likely to be a misplaced jumper that is supposed to be placed across pins 1 and 2 of JP4 near the center of the interface. (You will have to remove the blue box cover to investigate.) It's possible that the jumper is on pins 2 and 3 and simply needs to be moved.
1. Location of JP4 circled in red.
2. The arrow points to the pin in position 1 that open and shows the jumper across pins 2 and 3. This is incorrect.
3. The arrow points to the pin in position 3 that's open and shows the jumper across pins 1 and 2. This is correct.
